The Scriptures present Melchizedek as a king of righteousness and peace, and simultaneously, a priest of the Most High God. This dual authority set him apart and beautifully foreshadowed the ultimate King-Priest to come: Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ: Our High Priest and King of Kings in the Order of Melchizedek
It is a glorious truth that Jesus Christ is not only the King of kings and Lord of lords, but He is also our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek (Hebrews 5:6, 10; 7:17).
